Agostino Osio’s “EMPTY SPACES”“HERO” exhibition hosted by VPB and BIPART
VPB law firm and BIPART law firm are hosting Agostino Osio’s photographic project “EMPTY SPACES” “HERO” in Milan at their refurbished premises at Via Lanzone no. 4.
The photographic project “EMPTY SPACES” “HERO” by Agostino Osio is a visual research work that explores the relationship between fashion, architecture and time through images that capture the absence and memory of spaces.
The initiative is part of the two firms’ desire to promote dialogue between law, creativity and the visual arts, transforming workspaces into meeting places for professions, culture and artistic research.
The “EMPTY SPACE” project was born in 2007 from an intuition by Agostino Osio, an artist who trained within the context of Italian contemporary art. In addition to the friends of April™ – Studio, Prada was the first brand to recognise its value, not only in aesthetic and documentary terms, but also in cultural terms. Since then, Osio has collaborated with many other brands, paving the way for what today represents a significant expression of the dilation of time linked to fashion shows: architecture and fashion have thus entered into a fruitful dialogue, highlighting a moment of rare and happy cross-pollination between different disciplines, of which Osio feels himself a privileged observer.
The project, which the author has been carrying on for almost twenty years and to which he is deeply attached, is an exploration of space to which photography restores a new dimension and temporality.
In a world dominated by speed and the ephemeral, where even catwalks are fleeting moments that are consumed in the space of a few minutes, the images of empty spaces, i.e. apparently empty spaces, retain the atmosphere, the setting and the details, becoming testimony to a stylistic and cultural era.
